Escape Academy 2 Memory Leak Walkthrough and Answers

Ch. 2 Last checked 11/7/2026 3 min read

Memory Leak codes two guides agree on: Drain Chemicals 18826, Brain Chemicals 403 with radiation, then build CH5NO3 in the Chemistry Lab with Professor Bonilla.

Escape Academy Wiki

What is the answer to Memory Leak?

Memory Leak is the Chemistry Lab quest with Professor Bonilla on the Science Campus in Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School. This page lists the lock codes and synthesis target verified in two independent walkthroughs. It does not list each atom bond toggle on the synthesis grid, because only one publisher has documented that layout in writing so far.

  1. Start: Go upstairs to the Chemistry Lab and speak with Professor Bonilla (after Coop de Grace in the Biology Lab).
  2. Drain Chemicals: On the desk note, read Ar, O, and Fe in order. Enter 18826 on the Drain Chemicals cupboard (atomic numbers 18, 8, 26). Take the bottle.
  3. Brain Chemicals: Read the incident report on the desk. Use the hazard poster near the door and the thermometer on the same wall (guides give 20 for room temperature → flammability 4). Set health 0, reactivity 3, and the radiation symbol. Enter 403 plus radiation on the Brain Chemicals locker. Take the bottle.
  4. Synthesizer: Put both bottles into the chemical machine beside the computer.
  5. Computer: Build one connected CH5NO3 molecule (chain five H, three O, one C, one N). Confirm on the PC.
  6. Finish: Speak with Professor Bonilla again.

Hints for Memory Leak (reveal one at a time)

Nudge: where to look first

You need two bottles before the PC accepts input. One lock points at element symbols on the desk; the other points at the spill report and the hazard poster by the door.

Clue: partial answer

Argon, oxygen, and iron give 18826. The report mentions fire at room temperature, no breathing hazard, shock detonation, and a radiation alarm — map those lines to the three hazard digits and the radiation icon for 403.

Solution: how it works

18826: Read atomic numbers for Ar, O, and Fe from the periodic table in the room, in the order the note shows them.

403: The report text matches the hazard chart: room temperature on the thermometer supports flammability 4; “not a health hazard to breathe” → 0; detonation after shock → 3; radiation alarm → radiation symbol.

CH5NO3: Both GameSpew and Aprasi say to assemble CH5NO3; GameSpew describes chaining five Hs, three Os, one C, and one N on the computer screen after both chemicals are loaded.

Room notes

Story order on the Science Campus is Coop de Grace, then Memory Leak, then Overengineering Class (GameSpew and Aprasi agree on that sequence).

On Steam, update to v1.0.20261105.001 or later before saving mid-quest if you want to avoid the deleted-chemical bug noted in the launch hotfix.

For the opening tram room see No Ticket. More room answers are on the walkthroughs index, and the short lookup version is on the puzzle codes page.

FAQ

What is the Drain Chemicals code in Memory Leak?
The desk note highlights Ar, O, and Fe in order. Game guides agree their atomic numbers are 18, 8, and 26, forming 18826 on the Drain Chemicals cupboard.
How do you open the Brain Chemicals locker?
Match the desk incident report to the hazard poster by the door. Guides list flammability 4, health 0, reactivity 3, and the radiation symbol, entered as 403 plus radiation on the Brain Chemicals locker.
What molecule do you build on the synthesis computer?
After both bottles are in the machine, connect the atoms into one CH5NO3 structure (one carbon, five hydrogens, one nitrogen, three oxygens) and confirm on the computer.
Does saving quit break Memory Leak?
Coin Crew Games’ launch hotfix v1.0.20261105.001 fixed a bug where saving mid–Memory Leak could delete the Brain and Drain chemical bottles on Steam.
